RME implemented their own drivers for USB, not relying on Windows or Mac's drivers. You have more than just the asio and WDM drivers at play here. Like, there's load of complaints about Komplete Audio 6 being terribly crap as a WDM device or that new, cool looking Tascam 2x2 having useless latency.Īlso, why the hell amongst hundreds of amazon reviews almost no one bothers to post actual useful information like latency figures? Any interface I liked price-, feature- and layout-wise and looked into appeared to have some crappy random bugs on windows drivers which by their descriptions looked way worse than my problems.

At least it has good latency, solid guitar inputs and those stray noise bombs occurs not THAT often, plus it's super stable as a regular windows soundcard. I was thinking about replacing my Mackie Blackjack with something that won't surprise me with random bursts of noise, but after a couple days of reading opinions I think I'm keeping it. Pretty easy to spot on amazon reviews, Mac users seem to be mostly happy, top negative reviews are some poor souls with windows computer. When researching the new interface most of the complaints about crappy operation seem to be regarding windows versions.

It skips frames when I pause after fast-forwarding and rewinding in Premiere Pro and I was wondering if you have run into the same issue and found a way to fix it.Anyone else noticed that windows drivers for USB audio interfaces tend to be worse than their Mac counterparts? At least by their internet opinions. Also, I ask because I'm on a Mac and have had nothing but trouble with my MXO2LE for video.

They're the same preamps on their top of the line mixers and interfaces.Īlso, are you on a Mac or PC? I ask because the Mackie has been reviewed much more positively on a Mac because of PC driver issues so if you're on PC I'd send you towards maybe an M-Audio Mobile Pre II for the same price. I completely agree that the MXO2 should be able to be used as a monitoring solution, but when it comes to input, the Mackie Onyx Blackjack is awesome at $150 with great mic preamps. If it is, I would feel uncomfortable using the MXO2LE for voiceover without Mic level and direct gain control on the preamps. I may be wrong and welcome correction but I'm pretty sure that's the case. I believe also that the MXO2LE's XLR inputs are Line level only, not Mic level and I don't think that they would Phantom Power. Posted: Fri 12:07 pm Post subject: Audition I will move your post to our Product Feature section. However, the suggestions offered by Andrew can be a plausible workaround.

We currently do not support Audition for audio voice-overs. A few extra steps but it gets the job done.īy all means, please make a post in the "Feature Requests" section and add weight to the importance of extending support to Audition. I then export the audio to a WAV file and bring it in to Audition. To ingest audio, I do a video capture with any video signal coupled with the audio that I am wanting. Unfortunately, Audition isn't officially supported for the MXO2. How can I get Adobe Audition to recognize the XLR inputs of the MX02 LE so I can record voice overs? Is this possible? I opened Adobe Audition CS5.1 and it's not recognizing the Matrox MX02 as an audio device. I have all my analog and HD components all working great together. I've got my MX02 LE working fantastically for video.
